I have been eager to discover how architecture transcends beyond its materiality.

My father was a civil engeinner so that I could observe how bridges or dams were constructed.

Also I witnessed the bright pink building,¡®Sampoong Department Store¡¯ collapse in front of

my house, caused by flimsy construction resulting in over 500 casualties in 1995. Since then,

my interest in architecture was triggered.  as an artist, I use architectural visuality to expose social

absurdity and to find  several kinds of humanistic value under the wealth of civilization.
